Swati Nakshatra

Swati is ruled by Vayu, the wind god who carries Prana (life force) throughout existence. Like wind, Swati natives are independent, difficult to contain, and constantly moving. They value freedom above almost everything else. Vayu is also Hanuman's father - giving Swati natives potential for tremendous strength and devotion once properly directed. Their spiritual challenge is to find the stillness within the storm - to realize that even as life constantly changes, awareness itself is unchanging. Pranayama (breath practices) are especially powerful for Swati natives, connecting them to their ruling deity through the breath.
