Krittika Nakshatra

Krittika, ruled by Agni the sacred fire, bestows the power of purification. Like fire, Krittika natives can be warming and protective, or destructive if uncontrolled. The Karttikeya (Murugan/Skanda) myth connects to Krittika - the six Krittikas (Pleiades) nursed the war god who defeated the demon Tarakasura.
